Creation of digital art for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago

The creation of digital art for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago was part of a collaborative effort by Miroslaw Rogala. The collaboration was to create Virtual sketches for Mirek's piece titled "Divided We Speak". This video interactive installation was to be viewed at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. My contribution to the project also took different functions. I initially started on the project creating virtual sets for the installation, but I became more involved in the creative process of several different types of digital artwork. These types of work took the form of posters, animation, and finally digital paintings. Once seen as paintings, they were brought to ARTn for further review. ARTn took my images and created them into a three dimensional painting or PHSColograms. ARTn found the images a great departure to their normal way of producing advertising and scientific PHSColograms and found an opportunity to bring their product to another artistic level. The images were created using Softimage and Photoshop.

The Future:

Plans to have three final PHSColograms in tryptich form has been completed. ARTn produced these images in the largest format of 50 x 60 inches and compressed 65 frames of images into each PHSCologram making the smoothest transition possible from side to side. The tryptich is being viewed along with a sound installation at the MCA, and has been shown at several other locations such as SIGGRA PH 97 and ISEA 97. Demands for more artwork of this magnitude are increasing...
