EVL's Low Cost Digital Stereo Still Camera

DC3800 was chosen because it had a short body length of only 3.5" which is just an inch wider than interocular distance (compared to most at 4.5"). This produces slightly hyperstereo images. One way to get around this is to rotate each one slightly so that they are effectively stacked as shown below. Both modes have been tested and work.


 

 

 

 

The tripod is recommended because the DC3800 is very sensitive to camera-shake. To operate the rig, you hold both trigger buttons down half way till the green LED lights up on each camera. Then push all the way to shoot.
