Other factors which affect the streaming performance of the teravision are capturing decimation factor and UDP MTU size. When there is a significant difference between video capturing rate and transfer rate, we can try to reduce capturing rate and allow the network adaptor to use more PCI bandwidth so that it increases transfer rate. Then, in case of the 32bit card, it results in performance reduction. While, in case of the 64bit card, we can get some performance improvements. This result supports the idea that the 32bit card gives a little effect on the network adaptor and the 64bit card gives much more. While, in case of UDP, we can get much higher performance by using non-standard MTU size(32Kbytes) instead of standard MTU size(1450bytes). However, the use of non-standard MTU size will bring huge losses. Since the big UDP MTUs are finally broken into smaller 1500 packets over the network, even if one Ethernet packet is lost, it affects the entire UDP packet and the receiver cannot recover from the loss. The following tables show the test results for each image size. TCP send/receive socket buffer size is 8Mbytes, UDP send socket buffer size is 16Mbytes, and UDP receive socket buffer size is 32Mbytes for all the cases. กก a. 1024 x 768
กก b. 1280 x 1024
กก c. 1600 x 1200
