SAGE on Argonne's Highly Interactive Parallelized Display Wall

developers: Jason Leigh, Hyejung Hur

funding: Argonne National Laboratory, Center for Nanoscale Materials

The research collaboration between Argonne National Laboratory’s Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) and the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) focuses on deployment, testing and refinement of SAGE (Scalable Adaptive Graphics Environment) to control the display of CNM’s Highly Interactive Parallelized Display Wall.

Tasks include:

  • development of graphical user interface to control CNM data presentation workflows using SAGE.
  • development of a Macintosh version of SAGE.
  • design and implementation of middleware to interface SAGE to AccessGrid technology.
  • design and implementation of new structures to increase accessibility and usability for the SAGE user community.
  • refinement of overall system functionality.

  • start date: 11/16/2009
    end date: 08/15/2011
