The Illinois Art Gallery at 100 West Randolph, Chicago presented Electronic Fields. The exhibition was curated by Jane Stevens (IAG) and Dana Plepys (EVL), and was the first in a series of electronic art installations and exhibitions supported in part by the Sony Gallery of Consumer Electronics.

Animations, virtual reality and computer-generated graphic works by Electronic Visualization Laboratory artists were featured in this window display.
