Demonstrations of advanced Internet applications hosted by Internet2 and Highway 1 were the highlight of the University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development (UCAID) member spring meeting held in Washington D.C.

EVLers demonstrated the following tele-immersive applications onsite using an ImmersaDesk networked to various remote locations including Old Dominion University, NCSA and EVL:

• Cave5D demonstrated with Virtual Chesapeake Bay (Old Dominion University)
• Video Avatars in The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Virtual Environment (EVL)
• Networked Virtual Director (NCSA)
