Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and EVL co-director Tom DeFanti is being honored with an Outstanding Research Achievement award by UIC's College of Engineering during its 2006 Outstanding Alumni, Faculty, and Staff Awards ceremony. The awards ceremony will be held November 2nd at the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame in Chicago. Dr. DeFanti is unable to attend due to travel conflicts.
