EVL co-Director Jason Leigh's and Assistant Professor Andrew Johnson's outstanding research acheivements were recognized by the UIC College of Engineering (COE) October 17th. Dr. Leigh is amoung five faculty who received a Diamond Award for research expenditures on research grants with full overhead exceeding $500,000. Dr. Johnson, along with eleven COE faculty received the Silver Award for research expenditures on research grants with full overhead between $200,000 and $300,000.

These awards are part of the COE strategic plan recommending yearly incentives to faculty for outstanding research and teaching, and are the first presented for the 2005-06 academic year.
