NICT (National Institute of Information and Communications Technology) has awarded the University of Illinois at Chicago, Electronic Visualization Laboratory the JGN2 Award for excellence in utilizing the JGN2 research and development testbed network. EVL is recognized for its research in advanced networking and application development with this award for contribution to the Super-High Definition Digital Image Network Applications and Evaluations (CineGrid).
