This video shows the first prototype of EVL's 4 Megapixel Multi-Touch LCD Table. Multiple users can interact with the visualization application simultaneously simply by touching the surface of the display. The device is being developed for not only the research community but for deployment in museums and other public venues, where intuitive interfaces are critical.

A 30" table is shown, though much larger displays are under development; the Multi-Touch LCD Table prototype is the first step towards a larger system that better supports group collaboration. Also, though the prototype system only supports monoscopic information, future instrumentation research and development promises to incorporate stereoscopic imagery without the need for specialized 3D glasses.
