In the first scene, the environment looks really like a jungle. For example, the forest seems wet. Did you use fog or other techniques to achieve this effect? -Andrea Vaccari
A:
Yes, that scene has light fog in it and the fact that it's dark green creates that feeling. Another contribution is the use of point lights. The area where characters interact is lighter than the rest of the forest, which gives the scene a more foresty feeling because plants block sun light.
Q:
Your egg is broken into 2 and one piece lies inverted. It looks empty (as in 3d hollow effect). How did you do it? -Saiprasad Santhanakrishnan
A:
Each one of the egg pieces were originally spheres that were cut in half. They have inverted normals. Then...it basically took a lot of playing with lights to get it right. There is a local light right in front of the camera. And a point light further away and above the scene. This way there is light falling on outter and inner sides.

Propeller man: based off Karlsson from "Karlsson on The Roof" by Astrid Lindgren (also wrote Pippi Longstocking).

Baby bird: speaks for itself...

Scenario: Propeller man encounters a broken egg and notices a baby bird nearby. The bird seems lost and is excited to see him. Since it's a baby bird, it doesn't know how to fly and there is no one it can learn it from. The man shows the bird how to flap its wings, turns on his propeller (big red button) and flies away. The bird follows and struggles to fly...then they go to hollywood.
