about
NEW FORMAT--->NEW DATE && TIME
After a successful first year of Processing Chicago, we will be changing formats. To accommodate the preferences of our attendees, we will be moving from a monthly meeting to a *quarterly* meeting. Also, rather than meeting on the first Monday of each month, we will meet on *Saturdays*.
The new quarterly meetings will typically consist of (3) ~45 minute workshops with a short break between. The workshops will follow this format:Beginner
Intermediate
Advanced or Master class
This format gives attendees and presenters the opportunity to attend only the portion of the meeting that interests them, or to attend all three workshops.
As in the past, we'd like to put out a call for proposals for workshops fitting one of the three skill levels. Please send an email to jdpirtle@evl.uic.edu if you have an idea for a workshop you'd like to teach. Processing, or any other creative coding or DIY electronics (e.g. Arduino) topics are preferred.
NEXT MEETING:
Saturday, June 8th @ 4pm in the Cyber-Commons at EVL
Processing Chicago serves as a node for workshops and presentations, hosting a monthly meeting at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The meetings consist of workshops and presentations given by artists, designers and scientists exploring creative research using a variety of media and toolsets, including (but not limited to) Processing, Arduino, openFrameworks, Cinder, Max/MSP and Supercollider.
The meetings are free and open to the public and take place quarterly in the Cyber-Commons at the EVL.
If you'd like to present or have any questions, tweet or DM @ProcessingCHI on Twitter.
