Digital cut is how the AVID lays things down to tape. When you use Insert Edit Mode, you can even lay something down to tape frame accurately. Just like digitize, you have the same time input window, and deck controls. On the upper left, you can choose what is being layed down to tape. The upper right button starts the digital cut.

Remember to hook up the RS-232 deck control to control the right deck when outputting.
