Some Notes: Ok, so I went a little nuts with the Digital Camera. During the 8 days we were at SIGGRAPH 98 I shot 323 pictures. Some were bad, some were good, still others were great but poorly shot. Many were intended to be purely documentation and no attempt was made to utilize either my years in art school or my continued association with serious photographers.
There are 2 different image file sizes here and there. Some images are 640x480 and around 45 k while most were shot at 1280x1024 compressed and are between 180 and 280 k. I went with the higher rez in case we wanted to print some later. The gamma on images out of the camera is quite low. If you are using a computer like a PC, or to a lesser extent, a Mac, the images will be dark. Sometimes extremely dark. Fear not, the image data is there and my crack squad of photoshopateers are working on it.
Below are the best pictures. I made a special effort to show all EVLers past and present I saw as well as all the things the lab was involved with. There are hundreds more pictures and links to the directories are with each set. Check them out and mail me if you have a question or a comment.
I also made an effort to get everyone's names right, including Robert Grzeszczuk. Please let me know if I've misspelled anything, especially people's names.
