Daria Tsoupikova biography
Born in Moscow, Russia.
Currently teach as an Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Design
at UIC, specializing in educational multimedia. Artwork and research include
electronic visualization, interactive animation, computer graphics, and
virtual reality projects.
Received MFA from the Syracuse University Computer Graphics program,
Department of Art Media Studies in 2001, BFA in Graphic Design from the
Department of Art of Moscow State Academy Art Department in 1993. Worked
as a computer graphics designer and artist in Moscow, Russia, and the United
States, New York, Syracuse, Rochester, Chicago. Works include interactive
art and design projects, multimedia production, CG programming, animation
projects, interface design, CDROM and web site design and development.
Prior to joining UIC, taught at the University of Rochester, Syracuse University,
and Moscow, Russia. Recent exhibitions include SIGGRAPH 2002, sigKIDS, San
Antonio, TX, and Version 03 new media art festival in the Museum of Contemporary
Art, Chicago.
