Immersaview can visualize Open Inventor models on a GeoWall/AGAVE set-up. This disc image (dmg) file contains the executable, configuration files  and sample datasets. The program launches two windows placed side-by-side  sharing the same data. The data can be a single Inventor model or a flipbook of Inventor models.

Distributions supported :

  • Immersaview version 0.2 has been tested on OS-X 10.1.4 and 10.1.5.

  • Immersaview version 0.40 has been tested on OS-X 10.3.4-10.4.2.

How to install Immersaview:

1. Download the file to disc (our web server doesn't understand .dmg  files) then double-click to mount the disc image on your desktop. You  can move the enclosed directory to a location of your choice.

2. You will also need the Coin3d distribution for OS-X. If you do not  want to build it yourself you can get the libraries from: http://www.evl.uic.edu/aej/macagave/inventor.dmg. Please note-- it is recommended that Mac users should continue to use Coin3D version 2.4.1 since version 2.4.3 currently has some problems.

Compiling Immersaview :

It is now possible to use CMake to compile all the necessary parts of Immersaview. The benefit of using CMake is that there is a group of make files that CMake uses that will be able to generate the appropriate makefiles for your particular version of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. You can download CMake here. After downloading CMake, it will be necessary to download and install or compile the following items:

To create the makefiles for your particular compiler using CMake, consult the documentation directory of the Immersaview source ZIP file.
