Project Description

This demonstration of the new NSF-funded Personal Varrier display shows how auto-stereo enables 3D images to be easily integrated into the work environment. Personal Varrier demonstrations include a networked teleconference between Chicago and San Diego using EVL-developed TeraVision to stream video, and local demonstrations of the European Space Station's Hipparcos satellite data, and NASA's Mars Rover data, and various test patterns that demonstrate how the Varrier creates its autostereoscopic views. UIC participates in the Global Lambda Visualization Facility (GLVF).
