About

In 1973, collaborators Tom DeFanti and Dan Sandin found the Circle Graphics Habitat (former name of the Electronic Visualization Laboratory) on what was formerly known as University of Illinois Circle Campus (now simply the University of Illinois at Chicago).

The Circle Graphics Habitat blended art and science using computer and video technologies, representing some of the earliest pioneering work in computer graphics.
