University of Illinois at Chicago’s Maxine Brown Named a 2009 Global Visionary

Chicago, IL - When the award-winning multi-media public affairs series Chicago Matters: Beyond Burnham launches its Global Visionaries feature this month, Chicago Public Radio listeners and Chicago public television viewers will learn about fifteen notable Chicagoans who are leading the region into the next century - starting with University of Illinois at Chicago’s (UIC) Maxine Brown.
Brown, an Associate Director at UIC’s Electronic Visualization Laboratory, was chosen for her role in building StarLight - North America’s largest research and education networking hub - which is located in downtown Chicago.
