Onyx Reality Engine 2 or Infinite Reality
Typical CAVE system has 8 CPUs, 256-1024 MB memory
May use Indigo2 Impact for ImmersaDesk

Reality Engine 2
Video: 96 hz, 1024 x 768 stereo mode
Textures: 4 or 16 MB of hardware texture memory
2 or 4 RMs per pipe allows multisampling
Infinite Reality
Video: 96 hz, 1024 x 768 stereo mode; or 120 hz, 1280 x 1024 stereo
Textures: 16 or 64 MB of hardware texture memory
Texture downloads very fast
Can multisample with 1 RM
Can drive multiple video channels from one pipe


Want 16+ frames per second (stereo) for interactivity.
-> Scene should consist of 5,000 - 50,000 triangles.
