CAVE Configuration Files

The configuration files control many run-time options for how a CAVE program will run.

The major options which can be configured include:

The configuration files are read by CAVEConfigure().
It reads /usr/local/CAVE/etc/cave.config, /usr/local/CAVE/etc/`hostname`.config, ~/.caverc, ./.caverc, argc/argv, and appdefaults.

Standard system-wide configuration options are set in the /usr/local/CAVE files; your .caverc should be used just for specific options that you want to change.
