TomoViz

Remote Visualization system for Large-scale data

TomoViz is a web interface designed on top of ParaViewWeb Visualizer. The interface was made for scientists at Advanced Light Sources at Berkeley Lab who wanted to visualize large datasets in a browser without installing any additional softwares or tools. We collaborated with an ALS beamline head Dr. Dula Parkinson for the development of this application. He wanted a multi-user Client-Server application with a support for real-time interaction in the browser.

We configured Visualizer as a Client-Server system where the Server was the GPU(s) at EVL and Client was the browser. This system supports multi-user real-time interactions.

You can find a video demo of this application here.

Here's the TomoViz application developed by me and my project partner Kyle Almryde. When you click on any of the thumbnails it will take you to a Visualizer instance and you can choose the data you want to visualize. Following are some of the redering examples I put as a treat for your eyes!
