The unit of measure in this one-point perspective system is controlled by the circumference of the circle in the square.
As the horizontal and vertical lines (in red) are moved toward the center of the square, the distance between these lines becomes less and less. As in the preceding image, we can image that we are looking down the length of the horizon line, because the space in this system of projection decreases from the four corners down to zero at the vanishing point.
