The user must collect a randomly chosen group of man-made items (debris, electronics, synthetic materials, etc.) in the solar system which may be located on various planets or in orbit near them. The user uses a bow and energy arrows to create permanent links between planets that may be used for travel. The user has a limited amount of energy that gradually diminishes over time, is consumed when firing arrows, and is replenished each time an arrow hits a targeted planet. Upon collecting all of the required items, the game ends with a rewarding visual sequence taking the user out of the solar system to see the connections between planets that show where the user has been.

Example Gameplay Scenario:

Begin on surface of random planet (not Earth) with full energy. Items to be recovered are displayed on screen, e.g.

User can move around on surface, jump, and rotate view without moving. Energy slowly drains over time. The user can't get into the core, so no way to get more energy except going to another planet. So, user uses bow to aim at a planet, presses and holds button to draw back bowstring, releases it, and fires a bolt of energy. Energy drops a bit more. The "arrow" arcs into the sky, slowing down slightly as it ploughs through the atmosphere and then speeding up as it gets out into space. The camera follows the arrow, only letting it get farther away as the target gets close. If the arrow is within a certain distance, it "homes" in on the planet, otherwise it dissipates or turns into a comet (to be decided). Let's suppose the user aimed well- so the arrow strikes the target, and a bright light shoots out of the target planet back to the one where the user is standing, forming a link. The user gets pulled to the link and through space, arriving in orbit near the target planet.

The user moves to touch the link which passes through space nearby, and upon touching it presses the down button to descend to the surface. After a quick "ride", the user is standing on the surface near (but not attached to) the link. The user needs energy, though, so the user touches the link again and descends into the core. In the core, the user automatically eats to replenish energy, but the overall lighting gradually dims to indicate that the planet is losing energy. Having recovered energy, the user presses any button to ride the link back up to the surface (only the trackball/camera control can be used in the core). On the surface, the user wanders around and finds a rover/probe. Getting close enough initiates an automatic "acquisition" sequence where the character is shown taking the thing apart and rummaging for one of the required items-- if found, "Found **INSERT THING**!" pops up on the screen, the character is shown putting the item in the sample bag, and a check mark appears next to that item. Otherwise, the character just shrugs. In both cases, the character then puts the thing back together (possibly minus the part).

When the user acquires all of the samples or runs out of energy, the character is shown turning into a sphere of energy that launches off into space, and the view switches to show the solar system gradually shrinking, the orbits proceeding at high speed and all of the connections visible. If the user found everything, it displays "Good Job!", you get a happy face and a star in your record book, and maybe even candy. And if the user ran out of energy it displays "You Failed". Also, if the user completely consumes the core of a planet, the planet explodes and then the view fades to grey and it displays "Shame on You!".
