title
- the final room -

The last room of the labyrinth is the final destination of the journey. The shape of this room resembles the number six or the shell of a snail. When the center of the room is reached, the encounter with the minotaur himself takes place.

The words on the walls are taken from an arabic book called Picatrix that was very influential in alchemist practice. They were non-sensical words specifically used to conjure the devil: "Beydelus, Demeymes, Adulex, Metucgayn, Atine, Flex, Uquizuz, Gadix, Sol, Veni cito cum tuis spiritbus"

The representation of the minotaur is based on Cesare Ripa's Death metaphor from Iconologia (2).

As the sound excerpt from Das Reingold reaches a climax, the participants are pulled over a trap door and into the long steep funnel. The wings of Dedalus that were laying on the floor of the room have helped us exit the labyrinth ...

... and land on the boat where our journey begun. Only now the statue is no longer there. It is replaced by feathers, remnants of the wings that led us to our escape. The sound has come to a stop with only the creaking sounds of the boat breaking the silence.
