- the INSECTS room -
The room for the study of insects is perhaps one of the most medieval-looking rooms
in the labyrinth.
The displays resemble traditional classification cases, the kind one finds in old
museum basements. Three of these tables are scattered throughout the room.
The tall brickwalls are full of holes, which make ideal homes for insects and birds.
A large window display includes a collection of colorful butterflies, while the ambient
sound is the busy combination of locust and bells from Das Reingold .
The taxonomical panels of insects are taken from medieval entomology books
