Fabio Miranda Named EVL Deputy Director

Fabio Miranda has been named Deputy Director of the Electronic Visualization Laboratory.

In the role, he will work to strengthen EVL’s visualization research, increase the visibility and impact of that work, and foster stronger connections among EVL faculty, students, and collaborators. A central part of this effort will be advancing EVL’s long-standing mission of bringing together researchers from different disciplines, using visualization, advanced computing, data science, AI, networking, and interactive technologies to support interdisciplinary research and discovery. He will also take on a broader role in EVL leadership, helping address organizational and strategic priorities that require sustained attention and identifying opportunities for new research directions and collaborations.
