SHADING TYPES: Bump Mapping, Rainbow Shading, Shadow
Shading, Reflection Shading
 |
Bump
Adding surface
detail to an object without the expense of creating extra polygons.
This command will set the bump map for the specified object.
Bump mapped textures are combined with the main texture to create an
object with a visually uneven surface. Your video card must have the
ability to create this hardware effect.

Rainbow
This command
will set the specified object to use rainbow rendering. By
specifying a rainbow image, you can create a very colorful rainbow
effect for your object. Your video card must have the ability to
create this hardware effect.

Reflection
This command will set the specified object to use
reflection. Use this command when you want to give your object a
reflective quality, though not all 3D hardware will support Vertex
Shaders which are required to produce this effect.
For this
feature, you will need to define the reflecting plain and place it
appropriately using ‘make object’.

Shadow This command will
set the specified object to cast a hardware shadow. This command
requires hardware specifically designed for this feature, as it's a
very intensive calculation. Use this command sparingly for best
performance.
For this feature, you will need to define the
reflecting plain and place it appropriately using ‘make
object’.
