This lighting has serval downfalls. 1. Lighting quality is COMPLETELY dependant on the amount of vertex's that you have present. If light doesn't touch the cornor of a BIG plane, there will be NO light at all. 2. Some .x files don't seem to be compatible with this lighting, we have not been successful in implementing .x files made in cartography to this lighting. 3. There are only 8. NO MORE. If you cannot make do with 8, then don't use them. OpenGL itself has that limit, though we are on DirectX, its likely to be a similar reason for why.
