EVL Main AG Node:

The Main AG Node at EVL facilitates both large and small group meetings over the Access Grid. The space is dynamically configurable with:

Eight professional microphones
Four Canon PTz cameras
Professional Lighting
Three plasma displays
A Smartboard
A Geowall
A Powerpoint projector
A Polycom

The control board offers the node operator control over both audio and video. The audio is controlled with a Mackie Mixer and the echo cancellation is done with two Gentner AP400's. The video is controlled with an Extron video mixer and a video patch panel.

This node usually runs on multiple dual-processor machines, depending on the services required. New hardware is under consideration, so please contact ag-tech @ evl.uic.edu for information on the latest hardware configuration.

EVL Mini AG Node:

The Mini AG Node at EVL facilitates both small and medium group meetings over the Access Grid. The space works well for these meetings with:

Four professional microphones
A Canon PTZ camera
A plasma display
A Smartboard
A Geowall
A Polycom

A smaller control panel in the Mini AG Node gives the node operator audio control with a Mackie Mixer. Echo cancellation is done with one Gentner AP400.

This node runs on a single machine that has a 2.2 GHz Intel Pentium 4 with 1 GB of RAM.
