About

Techweek is a national organization that hosts week-long events - including a 2-day technology conference and expo in several major cities, to engage and excite the general public, and to provide opportunities to network, learn and explore with the local tech community. Techweek selects top minds in technology to speak on numerous topics.

Techweek Chicago’s conference is being held June 25-26.

Techweek Chicago includes, as one of its speakers, Victor Mateevisti, a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and a Research Assistant at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Mateevitsi will give the presentation &dlquo;A Real Life Spider Sense&drquo; on Friday 26th during the Lifestyle & Technology session from 3:00pm - 5:45pm. His goal is to motivate people to think how ubiquitous technology’s potential can enhance the human experience, enabling faster non-biological evolution as a species.
