EVL participated as a remote site in the National Computational Science Alliance’s Chautauqua event series 1999.

The Chautauqua lectures are designed to link remote participants and audiences using the Access Grid, a new technology for collaborative visualization and computing featuring video, voice, and data streams over the Internet.

There were three Chautauqua sessions in this series which took place August 9th and 10th hosted by the University of New Mexico, August 23rd and 24th hosted by the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and finally September 14th and 15th hosted by Boston University.
