DESCRIPTION: How would you design a sculpture garden? During this online design activity, students design a sculpture garden similar to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (MSG). The activity incorporates the use of colored forms for the design and planning of spaces.

OBJECTIVES: To become aware of geography and the environment. To engage in discussion of personal and social issues regarding the environment.

PROCEDURE: A simplified plan of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is provided, along with a selection of shapes. Students can drag over, place, and rearrange the shapes on the garden outline. These shapes include bushes, pathways, bricks, steps, ponds, signs, circles that serve as pedestals for sculptures, and other easily identifiable forms.
