iCardia
iCardia is a health analytics portal used by health researchers to conduct mobile health interventions using IoT devices from third party vendors such Fitbit, Nokia, etc.… iCardia’s web-hook architecture collects a continuous stream of data from patients as their mobile phones synchronize their activity data.
Data collects within the iCardia portal for researchers and health coaches to make decisions through on patient’s health outcomes.

COMPaaS
COMPaaS DLV is critical instrumentation that will provide the EVL and UIC faculty with a platform on which to pursue fundamental science and engineering research and research training in deep learning (data mining and data analytics, computer vision, natural language processing, artificial intelligence), visualization (simulation, rendering, visual analytics, video streaming, image processing), and a combination of deep learning and visualization (e.g., when data is so large that it cannot be easily visualized, then deep learning is used to extract features of interest to be visualized). It will also enable UIC faculty to investigate and contribute to solutions for societal issues, in disciplines such as anthropology, biology, cybersecurity, data literacy, fraud detection, healthcare, manufacturing, urban sustainability, and cyber-physical systems (e.g., autonomous cars).
