Interaction
Neutral Environment

A flashlight (like a spotlight) is attached to the joystick. When
illuminated, an objects will light up and change material colors.

When the participant gets close to the teleporters, the current environmental
sound fades out and a new environment sound fades in.
-
When the participant steps on the stairway, the upper level and stairway
will appear to be stable.
-
Participant uses the joystick to touch the teleporters in order to teleport
to another virtual environment.

A boundary sphere appears when the participant hits the boundary.
Creatures Environment

When the participant gets close to the teleporters, the current environmental
sound fades out and a new environment sound fades in.

Participant uses the joystick to touch the teleporters in order to teleport
back to the Neutral environment.

A boundary sphere appears when the participant hits the boundary.
Dream Environment

When the participant gets close to the teleporters, the current environmental
sound fades out and a new environment sound fades in.

Participant uses the joystick to touch the teleporters in order to teleport
back to the Neutral environment.

Universe Environment

When the participant gets close to the teleporters, the current environmental

Moving inside the central column will bring the participant up to different
levels. While moving up, the column stops compressing and extending, and
appears stable.

First Level

The objects will be wavering when the participant's position reaches this
level.

Second Level
-
The objects will shoot bubbles when the participant's front view gets close
to each of them.

Top Level
-
Participant uses the joystick to touch the teleporter in order to teleport
back to the Neutral environment.
Navigation
Neutral Environment

Participant is limited to walking (two-dimensions), falling, and bouncing
back when they hit the environment's boundary. There is no collision
detection for any objects.
Creatures Environment

Participant is limited to walking (two-dimensions), falling, and bouncing
back when they hit the environment's boundary. There is no collision
detection for any objects.
Universe Environment

Participant is limited to walking (two-dimensions), falling (on each level),
and bouncing back when they hit the environment's boundary. There
