Downloads

We have made the source and binaries for BreakoutVR available for download. Be sure to download the Music archive, as it is required to run the executables.

  • C-Wall Binary -- Assumes it is being played on the C-Wall located in the University of Illinois at Chicago's Batcave (i.e. the IP address is hard-coded). It'll look kind of strange on your machine if you are not connecting to the UIC C-Wall tracker. This version requires the Music archive to run.
  • PC Binary -- To start playing, move your mouse in a "southeast" direction on your desk, so as to bring the mouse down from its position in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. This version runs fullscreen at 1024x768@16bpp. This version requires the Music archive to run.
  • Music -- All of the binaries require this archive to run. This game can run without music, but it would be a very boring experience indeed.
  • Source -- Contains the source code for BreakoutVR Version 1.0. Requires the Unofficial BlitzBasic Preprocessor, FMOD, and all our extras (included in either of the executable archives) to compile. Please visit the links page to find out how to obtain the Preprocessor. The .decls files go into the Blitz3D\userlibs directory.

When the contents of these archives are extracted, you should end up with a directory structure like this one:

Obviously, if you were to download the source code, it would reside in the root of this directory structure (i.e. the same directory as fmod.dll).
