About

Computer Science assistant professor and EVL faculty member Fabio Miranda has been named a 2022 Kavli Fellow by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). A total of 185 scientists across disciplines were selected as Kavli Fellows by a committee of NAS members. Kavli Fellows represent “the brightest young scientists from industry, academia, and government” and are invited to participate in the Kavli Frontiers of Science symposia of the NAS.

The Frontiers of Science symposium series provides a forum for early career researchers in US science to share ideas within their disciplines while building relationships and prospective collaborations as they advance in their careers. Dr. Miranda presented his research in Urban Data Visualization at the 19th Chinese-American Symposium on July 8-10, 2022 in Irvine, California. See the full program.
