1976 Cut_Circles

The circle is here divided into four equal parts with four congruent shapes.
Any two of these shapes with a common edge form the shape of a half-circle.
The light gray shape of the left is such a half-circle, as is the shape on the right.
The arch that divides the orginal circle is the arch of the circle's circumference.
This means that in this case the circle is cut by its own shapes.
This self-cutting of the circles produces a new family of shapes and combinations.
